Mosfiloti Quarries
Our production begins at the Mosfiloti Quarries, where we source premium raw materials to create our high-quality concrete. Combining advanced extraction techniques and stringent quality controls, we ensure that every batch of concrete meets the highest industry standards, serving as the foundation for durable and reliable construction across Cyprus.
HISTORY
The quarry of “Mosfiloti Quarries Ltd” is 1,500 meters northeast of Mosfiloti village in Larnaca District. Operations began in 1977 under Mr. Sotiris Sotiriou, producing 100,000 tons annually. Today, with upgraded equipment and workforce, production exceeds 1 million tons annually, offering materials for concrete, roadworks, plastering, foundations, backfilling, earthworks, and topsoil.
In 1992, a sand washing system was installed, replaced in 2004 with a dry dust removal system.
In 2026, a Dry Dust Removal System is the investment project is financed by the European Union Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF) under the Investment Promotion Scheme for Energy Efficiency by Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Non-Profit Organisations. The objective is to promote energy efficiency measures in existing buildings and facilities, as well as to improve the efficiency of production processes.
Geologically, the quarry lies in the Basal Group of the Troodos Ophiolite Complex, with microdiorite and keratophyre rocks improving in quality with depth.
General Manager Mr. Christos Nicolaou leads a team including engineers, geologists, and technicians. The company has held CE Certification since June 2005.
